The twin clamshell towers, with a flying saucer-style structure between them at the bottom, are unmistakable. Free tours are given frequently, Monday to Friday. The square out the front is a meeting place and the location for concerts, demonstrations and office-worker lunches.

In winter the attractive fountain pool becomes a popular artificial skating rink. Rental skates are available until 10 pm daily. It’s a lot of fun; don’t feel intimidated if you are a novice- you won’t be alone. Immigrants from around the world are out there gingerly making strides towards assimilation. Enjoy toronto city hall.
